UMAN Universal Media Access Networks GmbH established an open standard for a real time media network for a wide range of applications in Pro-Audio, Install business and Digital Home markets, among others. UMAN provides technologies, based on standards such as IP, 1394 plus a hierarchical IP-based protocol for connection management and command & control.
A UMAN Network can transport more than 300 channels of uncompressed audio, tens of HD video streams plus a serious amount of command & control data such as TCP/IP, serial and Midi. UMAN networks have a guaranteed and deterministic latency of less than 1 ms and a unlimited amount of nodes.
